Music performance and concert by Stephanie Heidemann.
Join us for an evening of Sacred Music with World Music Vocalist, Stephanie Heidemann. Stephanie will be performing sacred chants from Hildegard von Bingen’s “Ordo Virtutum”: a collection of Gregorian chant written for her “Play of Virtues”, Ordo Virtutum. Many of these pieces are invocations of sacred virtues. In Stephanie’s concert, she presents the sacred music of Hildegard’s visions in pieces from the Ordo Virtutum. Hildegard von Bingen was a 12c German writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, Benedictine abbess, visionary, polymath and herbalist.
This concert commemorates the memory and music of mystery. Joining Stephanie, is World Music multi-instrumentalist, Chris Rosser, singer-songwriter, composer and producer. As a solo performer, he has toured nationally and independently released three critically acclaimed recordings in his Hollow Reed Arts recording studio.
