The Resonance Project was co-founded by world fusionists Stephanie Heidemann (vocalist) and Julian Douglas (percussion). Their vision pulls from music as old as 11c Hildegard Von Bingen, music of African diaspora, Spain and the Middle East. Stephanie received the Ringling Towers Award for Performing Arts and is an artist in residence at the Hermitage Artist Retreat (2013/2016). Co-Founder, Julian Douglas is a percussionist composer and producer. His debut CD Talafawa highlights this dynamic duo. Douglas received 4-stars from Modern Drummer magazine for his CD, Excursion with percussion quartet, Rhythm Quest. Together, they recently performed with the Silk Road Ensemble’s Global Musician’s Workshop. The Resonance Project breathes new life into ancient music from around the world with powerful force.
