Meditation is an art and a science.
It has been practiced in many forms by different cultures throughout history. It is a tool to gain inner peace and wisdom, spiritual experience, and it gives one the ability to master themselves in a way that leads to proficiency in everyday life.
In this four-week course, participants will learn the foundational practices of meditation such as breath awareness and systematic relaxation. Mantra is another esoteric practice that will be taught along the meditative path. There will be practice time as well as discussion of the spiritual and practical philosophy. Participants are invited to delve deeper and expand on what is taught, by given to “hOMeplay” to complete during the week between classes.
This course is appropriate for all levels with any level of experience in meditation; beginners, those who already practice, or yoga teachers who wish to incorporate meditation in their class structure. This course will count for continuing education credits under Yoga Alliance.
