Open Heart Meditation – with Deb Criss & Rana Jackson
Cultivating Your Relationship with The Divine:
Meditation, Gratitude, and other Simple Daily Practices
When people think of meditation, some may have visions of monks in far off lands sitting together in silence. As members of our busy society with jobs, social obligations, families, volunteer commitments, financial burdens, etc., we must learn how to ground ourselves in the present moment and not wait for the world or our lives to change before we can become peaceful and happier. The time is now! In this series we will provide an introduction to Open Heart Meditation and relaxation practices. In addition, we will discuss and explore the importance of gratitude, kindness, exercise, creativity, and more in cultivating your personal relationship with The Divine. Each week, participants will have an opportunity to experience group meditation and have the option of doing home practices in between classes.
Deb Criss, a holistic counselor, nurse and musician, has immersed herself in meditation and spiritual practice for most of her life. An Asheville resident for 31 years, she has dedicated her life to assisting people in healing trauma, self-empowerment, and healing with foods and transitional diets. Now, she is happy to share Open Heart Meditation with others.
Rana Jackson, a North Carolina native, now calls Asheville home after nearly ten years living in Austin and Kauai. She holds a Masters in Social Work and has worked to support others to live the lives they want. Rana
was introduced to Open Heart Meditation two years ago and considers it the most wonderful blessing in her life and is happy to share it with others.
