Fluid Body Yoga – with Reve Shannon
My classes are fluid, adaptive, dynamic and fun.While asana helps us to develop physical strength and grace, we also find the opportunity to evolve mentally, emotionally and spiritually. With the benefits of aware breathing and fluid movement we can energize our life force (prana) and better learn how to relax, release, and enjoy living.
Through flow and sustained poses, we follow the breath and explore body/mind awareness in a non-static way. We transition through the poses smoothly and adapt each to our individual capabilities. Through this practice, we find the time and inner focus for being while experiencing the physical metaphor for becoming. My classes are accessible to students at all levels of experience.
Awareness is the mission, transformation the goal and feeling good is the bonus!
Reve Shannon has been studying and practicing yoga for more than 20 years. He received teacher certification from the White Lotus Foundation in 1998 and has taught regularly since then. “The foundation of my practice and in teaching are rooted in allowing our intuitive wisdom to guide the outer experience and the importance of adapting our physical practice to our individual needs and capabilities.” says Reve. Over the years, he has studied with many notable yoga teachers and in absorbing their insights have realized what a blessing this collaborative art form is. Outside of yoga, he has a lifelong background in the performing arts and has taught movement and mime to students of all ages. He has studied Aikido and Feldenkrais and currently practice Yang style Tai Chi.
