This is the first time I’ve ever written a review, but felt compelled to do so. I wanted to see a Fall foliage .. and it was splendid and much more! What am amazing three night stay we had the OM Sanctuary. The friendly and attentive staff; Brian, Robin, Thomas … WOW! Tai Chi with Aaron and Qi Gong class with Lara were both excellent and exactly what we were looking. The room was large, well appointed and the fireplace and unexpected and charming. Well maintained and peaceful. We went on the trail — spectacular. Highly recommended and thank you to everyone who made our stay there earlier this month just awesome.
My husband, 2 sons & I recently stayed at the Om Sanctuary, I’m not sure why it was so quiet there,it was explained that large groups book their rooms out for events.
We were looking for a retreat in the Asheville area, & Om was only 2 miles from Downtown Asheville. The grounds were beautiful & well-kept.They provide a nice, continental breakfast each day and included in our stay was 1 class each day,(we took a meditation class,Kundalini Yoga & The Alexander Technique class) all were excellent instructors. The rooms were clean, I would recommend Om Sanctuary, if you are looking to get away & relax (no TV’s in the rooms) & enjoy the beautiful grounds….(they also offer spa treatments in a separate building on the grounds).Brian & Caty were so helpful & accommodating!
“Loved the large spacious room & bathroom, Very helpful & accommodating staff, Perfect place to disconnect, Can’t wait to go back!!!”

+ “The accommodations were excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to stay at the Om Sanctuary again! Jessica is charming and an excellent receptionist/clerk!”
That our stay at the Om Sanctuary was too short!

“I liked everything…I definitely was able to detach myself from everything, i loved the garden right outside the room…Everyone from staff to other guest were so nice. This is my spot when I go home to visit”
+ “So close to Earthfare and downtown! The garden was stunning surprise with August purple and pink phlox, beautiful evening light, and so restfull to watch and hear the rock waterfall. Very nice selection of evening teas in upstairs lobby, no individual coffee maker in room. As I unwound from the day. I notice the architecture of the place was aged simple elegance. I accidentally had landed in a very special gem of a place to stay in Asheville with a rich, complex history. This lovely place would make a great backdrop for a John Berendt novel. Think Savannna and Venice. Great breakfast, and bare bones clean comfy room, no tv, no microwave, but wifi is plenty. The bathroom honeycomb tile reminded me of my Grandma’s house. Peaceful place, wonderful sleep, nice walking paths on fifty acres. I almost don’t want to tell anyone about the Om Sanctuary because crowds and public attention often ruin a place. But they need business and support to run better, so I will spill the beans. I love Om Sancutary.”
+ “The staff was very helpful and courteous and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The continental breakfast was healthy and tasty – great coffee! I liked the hiking trail on the site.”
+ “Sense of calm and tranquility you feel from the moment you arrive.”
“We stayed at the OM Sanctuary, a retreat space about 1.5 miles from downtown Asheville. We weren’t sure what to expect but it was so lovely! No TVs, beautiful rooms, free yoga, healthy breakfasts and an amazing garden with a waterfall we could hear from our room.” – Annakate a blog from hungryatheart.com (October 14, 2014)

“I am now back in the snow laden Hudson Valley. I wanted to take the time and send out a heart-felt THANK YOU for the warm welcome I received from all of you. I have had a great deal of speaking engagement in a variety of settings, but what will always make this one special is the love I felt from beginning to end. Thank you for being committed to creating a sanctuary of being and doing. I continue to champion you all.”

“I just wanted to thank all of you for everything you have done for me; for allowing me to stay at the OMS, participate in the workshops, and for being so hospitible. It was so kind of you guys to that, and I just wanted to show my appreciation. It means a lot to me! I will be going back to school very soon, and this semester will be so crazy for me, but I will make time to come help out when my schedule allows it! I hope to see you soon.” – Alannah B., Service Learner from UNCA
“I must express my inexhaustible gratitude to the amazing staff at this magical place. I had such a wonderful experience volunteering and I cannot wait to do so again! Love and light to each of you. Namasté” – Rían Cosmic Love, Volunteer
“A challenge Service Learners often face is a lack of attention and appreciation from the organizations they’re working with. This is not the case with the OM Sanctuary. The staff provides exceptional guidance and support, and I truly feel that the work I am doing is important and appreciated. They not only utilize my existing skills but also help me to build entirely new ones, and projects are designed to fit my needs as well as their own. On top of it all, they’re lovely people who are a lot of fun to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a better volunteer experience.” – Marie B., Service Learner from UNCA
“I was out at OM Sanctuary this morning, and spent a lot of time walking the grounds. You have a gem there, with a heart full of GOLD!”

“The event was a seamless success, especially considering how many folks I know that had other plans that day. We did have more than 20 people and the feedback was great! It was a great space to have it, and hopefully it can happen again too!
I found working with the Om staff to be very harmonious and efficient! I really appreciate the level of organization and attention to details, the flexibility and the responsiveness of all the folks involved in the running of OM.
The marketing team was very supportive and Brian was super helpful, and a great presence to have when I arrived. Thank you all again for generously hosting this event. Lets plan again for next year, if not sooner!” – JoJo Silverman, Devotional Music Foundation
